About me
I'm a long time follower of the principles of strategy as outlined by renowed swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. I was raised in a very strict buddhist family, and was taught the laws of compassion, reverence for my ancestors, and to be thankful for all causes and effects of life.
I am a recent follower of the principles of "selling myself" as outlined by Harrry Beckwith and Christine K. Clifford in their book "You, Inc."
Hobbies and Interests
If I'm not reading or writing at home, I'm often traveling around town or to other countries, looking for things to do that I have not yet done. I don't have a bucket list because I want to do everything and anything. A list is just too restrictive for me.
My Philosophy on Writing
I am beginning to realize that to be an author living in Hawaii, an author writing about Hawaii, and an author writing of Hawaii are completely different things.
And no matter how you see what you see around you, and no matter how much you write of what you see, if the person who reads your work has never experienced what you and your ancestors have lived, or posses the ability to empathize with what you see as decay, they will only see rainbows where you see rain.
